Betty Marie’s Catering was launched in February of 2012, and is named after our mothers, Bettiemae Clark (below) and Marie Hale Melaugh (right). Betty Marie’s serves Hernando, Pasco, Citrus, and surrounding counties. We serve homestyle recipes, hearty and/or healthy, all made from scratch. Owners Burton and Nita Melaugh have a combined 40+ years cooking experience, and it’s just the two of us, so you’ll always have the owners cooking your food.
We base all our recipes on family style cooking. Most of our offerings were inspired by many prior generations on each side of our families, and many are exactly as they’ve been served for countless family gatherings throughout the years. As well, because we purchase every job to order, we can satisfy all custom requests. In fact, many clients hire us because they can serve their own personal menus without having to shop, cook, or clean.
With Betty Marie’s Catering, all you pay for is the food: no equipment rental fees, no service or labor cost, no delivery charges, no setup and takedown fees. When we quote you a price, typically $10-$20 per head, your only additional cost is sales tax. We arrive, set up your food in disposable chafers, and leave. All you have to do is eat and throw everything out afterwards.
